Telangana: Skeletal remains of missing lovers found hanging in forest; police suspect suicide
Amid lockdown putrified bodies of the 23-year-old woman and her 28-year-old lover were found from Telangana’s Ananthagiri’s forest on Saturday. The two skeletal was found hanging from a tree deep in the forest. The incident came to light on Friday when few herdsmen ventured into the interior of the forest. While venturing they noticed the remains of the body and immediately rushed to alert the villager who then informed the police.
Police immediately swung into the action and reached the crime spot. On reaching they found only the skeletal of the two as the bodies were mauled by the wild animals. Near the bodies, police recovered a purse and a bike, with the help of bike registration number they identified the deceased name Mahender.
As per reports, the bodies recovered by the police are illicit lovers and were missing from 1st week of April. During the investigation, Mahender’s family told that the day he went missing he also took the two-wheeler along with him.
Based on the information provided by the deceased man’s family police decoded another skeletal remain which is of a 23-year-old woman named Shiva Leela, a daily wager. She had also gone missing and a missing complaint was filed by her family members on 6th April.
After recovering this information police suspect that both the deceased were having an affair. Leela had been married for five years while Mahender was also married and had kids. They both met each other on the construction site around two years ago and fell in love.
When the missing complaint was filed officials tried to track them with their mobile phone however in vain as they could track them. The officials suspected that they might have destroyed their SIM cards for avoiding detection.
