‘Tantrik baba’ rapes woman after husband, mother-in-law take her for treatment

In an appalling incident, a Tantrik Baba allegedly raped a woman after her husband and mother-in-law took her for treatment.

According to a report in Times Now, the Tantrik Baba raped the woman on the pretext of treatment for conceiving a child in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal.

However, police have arrested the Tantrik baba, and woman’s in-laws, and her husband after the victim woman registered a complaint against them.

The incident took place under the Bairsiya police station. The accused baba has been identified as Kallu alias Kalla Shah.

According to a report on News 18 Hindi website, the rape survivor was taken to baba by her in-laws as she could not conceive a child.

Meanwhile, all the accused have been sent to jail. Police have booked the woman’s husband and her in-laws under various relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for harassment and conspiracy.

Initially, the police arrested the victim’s husband and mother-in-law in the case. Later, they nabbed the accused baba.

Reportedly, the accused Baba, who lives in Gunaga, filed a bail petition in the court of Additional Session Judge Tripti Sharma. However, the court revoked the bail of the accused Baba and sent him to jail citing the serious nature of the crime.

According to police, the victim woman was married on June 10, 2019, in the village Agar.

On July 8, her husband and mother-in-law took her to the accused Baba as she couldn’t conceive the child for a year. Accused Shah took the woman to a room and raped her.

However, the woman gathered the courage to file a case against the accused Baba and her in-laws, including her husband for their alleged involvement.
