Tamil Nadu: Woman poisons two daughters after having arguments with family

In an appalling incident reported from Tamil Nadu, A woman allegedly poisoned to her two daughters and made an attempt to commit suicide on Wednesday. The two daughters lost their lives but the woman was admitted to a hospital. The woman is undergoing treatment at the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).

The woman was later identified as P Tamilselvi. The two deceased kids were identified as P Brindha, Prasantha. The woman split up from her husband around 9 months ago.


After parting ways with her husband, the woman began staying at her parents' house, with her two daughters and brother. Not long ago, the woman's parents and brothers asked her to get back with her husband.

However, the woman didn’t want to reunite with her husband and the same affected her relation with her family, The Times of India reported.

The woman also had a verbal argument with her family, Angry over the same, the woman fed water mixed with rat poison to her two kids on Tuesday before taking it herself. But, nothing happened to the three as the quantity mixed in water was not so much.

Earlier, the woman gave rat poison to her children again and consumed it herself. The woman fell unconscious soon after and the three of them were taken to a hospitals where first aid was administered to them. The woman and her daughters were referred to the Tirupur government hospital from where Tamlselvi and Prasantha were shifted to the CMCH.

Prasantha breathed her last on Thursday while Brindha died at Tirupur government hospital. An official said, "Tamilselvi's condition is critical. "
