Tamil Nadu: Pregnant minor girl goes into labour during her exam; 70-year-old man held for rape
A shocking news was reported from Tamil Nadu’s Namakkal when a 70-year-old man was arrested by police on the pretext of raping a Class XI student. The incident came to light on Monday when the girl went into the labour pain while writing her exam at a government higher secondary school.
As per reports, around 11:30 am girl developed a stomach pain after obtaining the permission from the invigilator the girl went to the restroom. However, when she did not return even after 30 mins, the invigilator went to the restroom to check up on her. As soon as she entered the restroom she was shocked to see the girl lying on the floor while she was bleeding severely.
The teacher immediately alerted the headmistress and took the girl to the Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital. Here she went through the C-Section and gave birth to a baby girl.
As per Police, the girl’s mother filed an FIR against K Veeran, a neighbour who raped her daughter multiple times. The accuse also promised the victim of marriage however it turned out to be a false promise. Based on the statement police swung into action and arrested the accuse and lodged him in the Salem central prison under judicial custody.
