Tablighi Jamaat leader Maulana Saad Kandhalvi writes to Crime Branch after money laundering case filed by ED

Tabligha Jamaat’s Maulana Saad Kandhalvi has written a letter to the Delhi Police Crime Branch saying that he is ready to cooperate in the investigation against him and that he has already participated in the probe by responding to two notices ladled out to him.

In the letter written on Thursday, Tabligha Jamaat’s leader asked the investigation agency to notify him if any new section has been added to the FIR against him and to give him a copy of the same.


The letter written by Kandhalvi says that he already joined the probe by responding to two notices served to him on 1st and 2nd April.

Maulana Saad Kandhalvi also went on to mention that he is ready and willing to co-operate with the probe agency.

The Delhi Police’s crime branch had on 31st March filed an FIR against seven individuals, including Kandhalvi, on a complaint by Station House Officer of Nizamuddin police station here for holding a gathering of Tablighi Jamaat followers in alleged violation of the orders against large congregations to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also lodged a money laundering case against Maulana Saad Kandhalvi, trust associated to the Tablighi Jamaat and others.
