Suspected 'spy' pigeon from Pakistan captured along International Border in Kathua
A pigeon, thought to be trained in Pakistan for syping, was caught along the international border in Kammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, said officials on Monday.
According to officials, the pigeon carrying a coded message was caught by local residents of Manyari village in Hiranagar as soon as it flew into the Indian side from Pakistan.
Security agencies concerned are looking into the matter and trying to decrypt the coded message, said the officials.
"The villagers handed over the pigeon (to the local police station) yesterday. A ring was seen attached to one of its legs with some numbers on it and a probe is on," Senior Superintendent of Police of Kathua Shailendra Mishra said.
