Shocking Video: Man drags Delhi traffic constable on car's bonnet for 2 km

A man, allegedly to get away from paper check by the traffic policeman, dragged a constable for 2 km. The cop was making an effort to stop the accused by jumping atop his car’s bonnet. The clip of the incident, that happened in November last year, went viral on the internet on Sunday.

The policeman identified as Sunil sustained injuries in the incident that took place in Delhi’s Nangloi area.


As claimed by the sources in Delhi traffic police, the cops were inspecting papers of the car at Nangloi Chowk when the accused’s vehicle came from the other side. The policeman suggested the accused to pull over but after slowing down his car the man tried to flee. Then in order to stop the car. Sunil jumped atop the bonnet of his car.

Surprisingly, instead of pulling over the car, the accused accelerated the car and dragged the policeman to more or less 2 km. The co-passenger in the vehicle recorded the entire episode on his mobile phone. After requesting many times, the accused gave Sunil a chance to get down and then he escaped.

The video recording is now being shared on Twitter by many.

The video gave rise to outrage among people as they wrote all kinds of comments. While some wanted justice, others give thanks to the police department for their service. Now, after two months the video has gone viral on social media that persuaded the police department to initiate an investigation in the matter.
