Shocker: Man kills 3-year-old son after he fails to get buyer for toddler
A father killed his three-year-old son in the Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh. As per reports, the accused was trying to sell his minor son for Rs 3 lakh to get rid of poverty.
The man allegedly killed his son after he failed to get a buyer for his son, timesnownews.com reported.
The accused man was identified as Mohd Naushad, who works as a labourer. Naushad was arrested on Wednesday after his father filed a police complaint about the death of the three-year-old boy.
The shocking incident took place in the Dhanora area of the district. According to Naushad’s wife, he was adamant about selling their child as he wanted to spend money on alcohol and gambling, The Times of India reported.
The wife of the accused tried to stop him from selling the child and they were regularly fighting over this issue, police said.
On Tuesday, Naushad sent his wife to borrow a phone charger from a neighbour in the Dhanora Mandi area. However, she became suspicious and returned soon. When she returned home, she found Naushad was choking the child who went unconscious by then, a police officer said.
The woman immediately took her child to a hospital. However, the doctor declared him brought dead on arrival.
Later, Naushad’s father approached the police station and filed an FIR against the accused.
According to the police, the couple got married four years ago and had two children.
To get rid of poverty, Naushad decided to sell his son but he couldn’t find a buyer and hence, he murdered his own son in frustration.
Meanwhile, he has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and sent to jail.
