A wedding function turned into tragedy after a young guest was brutally killed by his friend in UP’s Ghaziabad.

The youth killed his friend after having a brawl between them over some issue.

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Tinku, a resident of Delhi. He used to work as a storekeeper for a private firm. The incident took place on Monday night when Tinku and his childhood friend, identified as Deepak Pandit came to Ghaziabad for attending a wedding function of a common friend’s sister.

Soon, an altercation flared up between the two youths in an inebriated condition. In a fit of rage, Pandit allegedly slit the throat of Tinku with a piece of glass of a liquor bottle and fled from the spot, timesnownews.com reported.

Before others could understand the seriousness of the incident, Tinku slumped to the ground. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed during the treatment, according to a report by The Times of India.

The now deceased’s elder brother, Arvind Kumar told TOI that one of his friends called him around 1 am and informed him that Tinku had fallen from the terrace and had been admitted to a hospital. After reaching the location, Tinku’s brother came to know that Deepak had slit his brother’s throat.

Meanwhile, the accused has been booked under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code. However, Deepak is currently absconding. Police have launched an investigation to nab the accused.
