Rajasthan shocker: Mentally-ill woman gangraped by group of men
In a horrifying incident reported from Rajasthan, A mentally-challenged woman was allegedly gangraped at Chittorgarh Fort. An FIR has been registered by the victim’s father.
As maintained by the FIR, the incident happened when the victim had gone to the fort and a group of men cornered her and raped her one by one. They then took her to a hotel and continued sexual assault.
A probe into the matter has been handed over to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chittorgarh, who has taken six men into custody, who are mostly illegal local guides.
Police have not confirmed the arrest of any accused so far.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
In antother incident reported from Gurugram, a 24-year-old bride-to-be was set on fire allegedly by a jilted paramour two days before her marriage in the Farrukhnagar area.
The victim, identified as Seema, was supposed to get married on May 11.
The horrifying incident happened on Monday when the accused forced inside the house and set the woman ablaze by pouring petrol over her.
The victim was immidiately rushed to a hospital where she is said to be in a critical condition as she suffered over 50 per cent burn injuries.
The neighbour of the victim, identified as Jaipal, used to harass her regularly, especially whenever she went on the roof.
The victim’s father told the cops that the accused barged into their house and set his daughter on fire, as reported by the PTI.
An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC and a search operation to arrest the absconding accused is underway.
