Rajasthan Shame: 30-year-old man marries 13-year-old girl; sexually abuses her
A shameful incident was reported from Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh where a 13-year-old UP girl was forcibly married and then sexually abused for months.
The incident took place seven months ago when the girl’s neighbour in UP’s Sonbhadra took her on a pretext of a tour in February and then sold her off to a man named Basanti Lal Dadeech in Chittorgarh for Rs 2.70 lakh, according to reports by TimesNow.
After buying the minor he brought her to his village and married her at mass gathering and then started sexually abusing her. After suffering for several months, the 13-year-old girl managed to call Child helpline, following which she was rescued by the team.

On Wednesday, the girl who is currently staying at a shelter home in the district narrated her ordeal to Dr Shailendra Pandya, a member of Rajasthan State Commission for Protect. She further told that she was also mercilessly beaten by Basanti and his elder brother when she called her parents and told them about what happened to her, in response, her parents told that they would take her back once the lockdown restrictions get lifted.
After hearing all this, Police have been asked to register a complaint against the girl’s accusers under the POCSO Act, child trafficking, domestic violence and child marriage. Dr Shailendra Pandya also said that the state child rights commission would also take action against gangs involved in trafficking minor for marriage.
