Rajasthan: Indian Army soldier’s widow beaten up by in-laws; video goes viral

A widow of an Indian Army soldier, who died this year, was brutally thrashed by her in-laws, allegedly over a property dispute. The video of beating the widow is going viral on social media.

In this regard, Bharti filed a complaint at Gudha Gorji police station, accusing her in-laws of the assault.

Bharti, the widow of Fauji Sandeep, is a resident of Bar Ki Dhani village in Jhunjhunu. Her husband, Fauji Sandeep Kumar, lost his life on 28 March, 2022. Since Kumar’s death, Bharti has been living in her own house in Bar Ki Dhani village. As per Bharti, her father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and Jethani harass her and want to get her house vacated.

Fed up with the daily harassment, the soldier’s widow gave a written complaint to Jhunjhunu SP and Gudha Police Officer in the past, but no action was taken. The in-laws recently attacked Bharti and her older sister, and a video of it has gone viral.

Police are investigating the matter.
