Rajasthan horror: Minor gang-raped by 8 men, video made viral

In an appalling incident which has come to light from the state of Rajasthan’s Alwar district. A minor was allegedly gang-raped by eight persons who also extorted Rs 50,000 by blackmailing her. The accused are in the age group of their early and late 20s.

As maintained by the cops, the accused had come into possession of private pictures of the 16-years-old girl, who hails from Kishangarh Bas police station area of the district and blackmailed her by saying the pictures will be made viral if she doesn't pay Rs 50,000.

The minor girl was later gang-raped by eight men, including the prime accused in the case. Following the incident, a police complaint was registered by the brother of the victim on Wednesday.

On December 31, 2021, the prime accused identified as Sahil called his sister at a nearby place and told her that he has got some private pictures of the minor girl and if she doesn't come, they will make it viral. When the class 8 student reached the spot, eight men forcefully stripped her, sexually abused her and recorded videos of the horrifying act.

The accused allegedly started extorting money from the victim and also raped her on several occasions by threatening her. Between April and June this year, the accused extorted Rs 50,000 from the minor victim.

However, when the girl was unable to pay more money, the accused allegedly circulated the video on social media.

"An FIR has been registered under section 376D of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. Prima facie, the allegations appear to be true," said Atul Agra, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Kishangarh Bas circle.

Furthermore, the DSP added that teams have been formed to arrest the absconding accused. More details would be revealed once the accused are held, he said.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
