Rajasthan: 15-year-old girl raped by nine people for 8 days

In an appalling incident reported from Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district, a teenage girl (15) was allegedly raped at several locations by approximately nine people for over a week, the police said on Monday.

However, the teenager managed to get home on Friday after which a formal complaint was registered. Four of the accused, which included two minors, have been taken into custody in relation to the matter, the police said.

As maintained by Manjeet Singh, DSP, "The girl alleged that her friend Bulbul and another youth, Chothmal, took her to Jhalawar city on February 25 on the pretext of buying a school bag for her."

Furthermore, the victim also alleged that a few people came together with them at a park where she was drugged and then raped, the DSP added.

The victim alleged that around nine people had raped her  for over a period of eight days at different times and in several locations in Jhalawar.

According to the DSP , a medical examination of the teenager was carried out and four accused have been taken into police custody thus far. A hunt is on to locate the other accused.
