Pune man brutally murders his 80-year-old father for wanting to remarry

In a shocking incident reported from Rajgurunagar, a 47-year-old man brutally killed his 80-year-old father when he came to know that he had registered his name in the matrimonial bureau with the intention of getting re-married.

After carrying out the gruesome act, the accused, named Shekhar Borhaade himself, walked into the Rajguru police station to surrender and confessed to his crime.


In his statement, the accused admitted that he lost his cool after knowing that his father wanted to get remarried. Angered by this, he brutally murdered his elderly father.

The accused (Shekhar Borhaade) lives in Nandadeep Housing Society, B Wing, Flat No. 9, Vaishampayanali, Rajgurunagar, Tal. He has been taken into police custody on the murder charges of his own father.

The accused told the cops that his father, now deceased Shankar Rambhau Borhaade, had registered for his own marriage with a bride by paying money to the marriage bureau. The fact that his father wanted to get re-married miffed him and he killed him.

The accused confessed to his crime, saying that he first attacked his father with a knife to cut his neck. He then got a grinding stone and smashed his father's head repeatedly till he succumbed to the brutal attack.

Later, he even tried to cut off his father's head by sharpening the knife.

Police Inspector Satish Kumar Gaurav is carrying out further investigation into the murder case.
