Pune man arrested for raping, assaulting air hostess after meeting her on dating app
A 28-year-old man was taken into police custody for allegedly raping and assaulting a 26-year-old air hostess on 26th December.
According to the police, an FIR has been registered with the Wakad Police station. It said that the two had met through an online dating app and decided to meet each other in person.
As maintained by the victim, she had gone out for dinner with the accused where he forced her to drink alcohol. The man insisted on dropping the victim home. But instead took her to his home and raped her.
Police said that the victim lodged a complaint on 27th December and the man was taken into custody. Police said that the woman is currently under medical care.
Furthermore, Police said that an FIR has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Section 376, 376 (2)(m), 325, 328, 366, 386, 504
In another incident reported from Haryana, Nepalese woman was allegedly gang-raped by five men in front of her husband. As per the police, the accused barged into victim’s rented home on Thursday.
They beat up her husband, and tied him up with ropes. The accused then took turns to rape the woman.
According to the police, investigation is underway after registering a case under relevant provisions of the law against the five accused.
