PSBB school teacher harasses students, makes inappropriate remarks during online classes; held
In a shocking incident, a Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan (PSBB) school teacher was arrested on Monday for sexually harassing students of the school in Tamil Nadu’s Chennai.
He has been booked under the POCSO Act and various sections of the IPC including 354(A), 509 IPC, 67, 67A of the IT Act.
The action was taken against the teacher after the school received several requests from over 1,000 alumni demanding a full inquiry into the matter.
Therefore, an internal communiqué reportedly to the teacher himself, the management said that the accused teacher has been suspended with an immediate effect.
The issue has spread on social media like wildfire after an Instagram influencer, who was also an alumna of the school, had raised the issue on her social media account.
PSBB students have complained that the Accountancy and Business Studies teacher took the online classes dressed in the only towel and also made indecent comments. He even touched female students inappropriately in school while making derogatory comments about women and also even texted lewd messages to his students during online classes.

The former student of PSBB also released a statement and mentioned their demands to the school.
The statement reads, “The teacher, who was a faculty member of the school for 20 years is also a class teacher, which means he has access to student’s personal information — students’ phone numbers, their parents’ phone numbers, and their addresses. He is also an in-charge of correcting exam papers and other valuations, and he threatened students of giving low grades if they complain about his misconduct.”
Students demanded the immediate suspension of the teacher from the school. Also, demanded an assurance from the school to protect the identity of the minor and school children, and no retaliatory action should be taken against them in any regard.
They have demanded that such kinds of teachers should not exist in any educational institution and immediate action should be taken against them.
When the matter came to notice, several politicians, including DMK MP Kanimozhi, Ramadoss, and parents have raised their voices and joined hands with the students, demanding strict action should be taken against the culprit teacher.
