Private charter jet hired for Rs 9.06 lakh set to fly six pets from Delhi to Mumbai

A private chartered jet is ready to fly six pets from the national capital to Mumbai in mid- June. The Covid-19 pressed lockdown has left many people stuck in different parts of the country. A few pets were also left jammed away from their masters because of the travel ban imposed in order to curb the spread of the deadly virus.

As maintained by Mumbai Mirror, cyber security researcher and entrepreneur Deepika Singh has now put together a plan to help some of these pets reunite with their masters.

The 25-year-old entrepreneur from Mumbai stated that the idea of an all pet flight came to her when she was organising an aircraft to fly her relatives, but some of them declined to travel along with pets.

“Some people wanted to travel with their pets but when the others refused, I decided to arrange for another jet," Ms Singh told ThePrint. She stated that the jet for dogs, birds and other animals left behind in the time of lockdown would help provide a safer ride home for pets who would otherwise be transported via cargo shipments.

The 25-year-old then got in touch with a private jet aggregator Assretion Aviation for a six seater only for pets. The entire plane amounts to 9.06 lakh, with the cost of each seat being 1.6 lakh.

"I contacted a private company and they agreed to send the pets on a plane," said Deepika , as per a report in Divya Bhaskar. Up to this point, four people have registered to have their pets travel fromm Delhi to Mumbai in a chartered jet. The passengers that have been signed up for the flight thus far include two Shih Tzus, one Golden Retriever and one Lady Pheasant bird.

"The cost per seat stands at Rs. 1.6 lakh which is already a little steep and if we do not find six passengers it will be even costlier," said Deepika Singh.

The owner of Accretion Aviation, Rahul Muchhal, stated that all required coronavirus preventative measures will be followed for the animals and their handlers. The pets well be screened and their temprature will be taken before they board the plane. They will be kept in cages during the flight.
