PM to Gift Bengal Three Vande Bharat Trains

Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will gift Bengal three Vande Bharat trains before Durga Puja. According to railway sources, the trains will run from Howrah to Gaya, Howrah to Bhagalpur, and Howrah to Rourkela. The Prime Minister will inaugurate these trains on September 15.

Railway sources revealed that the Prime Minister will flag off 11 trains, including Vande Bharat trains, from different parts of the country on September 15 morning. Preparations for the inauguration are complete, but there is still uncertainty about the inauguration venue. Sources suggest that the Prime Minister may flag off the trains from Patna or Tatanagar station through video conferencing.

The two Vande Bharat trains originating from Howrah, namely Howrah-Gaya and Howrah-Bhagalpur, belong to the Eastern Railway Zone, while the Howrah-Rourkela Vande Bharat train belongs to the South Eastern Railway Zone. The commercial operations of these trains have not been announced yet.

Sources revealed that the Howrah-Bhagalpur Vande Bharat train will complete its journey in just six hours, while the Howrah-Gaya Vande Bharat Express will take six hours and 20 minutes. All three trains will depart from Howrah station at 11 am on September 15.

According to information, the Gaya-Howrah Vande Bharat Express will depart from Gaya at 11 am and reach Howrah station at 7 pm, with stops at Koderma, Parasnath, Dhanbad, Pradhankhunta, Asansol, and Durgapur. Similarly, the Bhagalpur-Howrah Vande Bharat Express will depart from Bhagalpur at 11 am and reach Howrah station at 8 pm, with stops at Barahat, Mandar Hill, Hansdiha, Nonihat, Dumka, Rampurhat, and Bolpur.

The Rourkela-Howrah Vande Bharat train, belonging to the South Eastern Railway's Chakradharpur railway division, will depart from Rourkela at 11 am and reach Howrah station at night, with stops at Chakradharpur and Tatanagar. The railway will soon announce the schedule of the Rourkela-Howrah Vande Bharat train's commercial operations. The train will depart from Rourkela in the morning and reach Howrah in the evening, returning to Rourkela at night.
