Patna horror: Minor arrested for allegedly raping and threatening 10-year-old girl

Police took a minor into their custody for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl in Bihar's Patna under the Rajiv Nagar police station limits on Monday. An FIR was registered in this matter and the accused has been arrested.

The victim’s family members said that they came to know about the incident when the 10-year-old complained of stomach ache. Though the incident took place on Monday, it came to light when the kin of the victim filed a complaint at Rajiv Nagar police station on Tuesday.

As maintaiined in the police FIR, the victim and the accused are neighbours and stay on the same locality.

When the parents of the victim went out for work, the minor took advantage of the situation, entered the house and raped the girl. The accused also threatened the minor of dire consequences and asked her not to talk about the incident to anyone, police said.

When the 10-year-old complained of severe stomach pain, her parents took her to a doctor and a medical examination confirmed rape. Police swung into action and registered a complaint, following which the minor was taken into custody.

Earlier on Wednesday, the medical examination of the girl was carried out and it was confirmed that the girl was sexually assaulted and her statement was taken under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
