Noida horror: Man kidnaps, rapes 13-year-old girl

In a recent development coming in from Noida, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 23-year-old man who used to live in the same locality as the victim in a village which falls under the jurisdiction of Sector 142 police station.

As maintained by a report in the Times of India, the accused, identified as Pramod, is a resident of Sambhal and earns his living as an electrician who has been on the run since the horrifying crime.

However, the Gautam Budh Nagar police managed to take the accused into their custody from Noida sector 143 on Thursday.

According to reports by Hindustan Times, the victim’s elder brother had gone to the police for help on 12th January, alleging that Pramod had kidnapped and sexually assaulted his minor sister when she was on her way to a shop on Sunday.

It was later that the victim came back home and narrated her horrific ordeal to her family.

On the basis of a complaint registered by the brother of the victim, a case was lodged under Indian Penal Code Section 376 (punishment for sexual assault) and other relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Sector 142 police station.

As mentioned by Hindustan Times, SHO Uttam Kumar of Sector 142 police station, said that police teams were set-up to trace and arrest the accused who had been at large since the incident.

However, based of the surveillance, police succeeded in arresting the accused from Noida sector 143 metro station area on Thursday.

In the meantime, during the investigation, it was revealed that another kidnapping case of a 20-year-old woman was filed against the accused at the Vijay Nagar police station in Ghaziabad.
