Nagpur: Man found dead with head smashed at Pardi area

A man was found dead with his head completely smashed in Maharashtra’s Nagpur, police said on Friday. The body of an inidentified man in his 20s was discovered by locals in the area on Thursday morning, after which the police were notified, deputy commissioner of police Neelotpal said.

As per the initial investigation, the man’s head was smashed with a rock and several injury marks were also discovered on his private parts. Empty liquor bottles were also recovered for near the victim’s body, which has been sent for autopsy to find out the cause of death and possibility of sexual assault.

A case under section 302 of the IPC has been lodged against unidentified accused and further investigation in the case is underway, said senior police official.
