MP: 4-year old girl kidnapped, raped and murdered by rape-accused out on bail

A 4-year-old girl was abducted, raped and killed allegedly by a man who was out on bail in another rape case in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district on Wednesday.

The accused, a 40-year-old man, had raped the minor’s aunty last year and was released on bail few weeks ago, after languishing in prison for six months.

According to the police, the minor girl went missing from her village on Wednesday. Her family members, who were looking for her, found her dead body in a mustard field, approximately 200 meters away from her house.

The victim dwelled with her grandparents as her parents work as labourers in another state.

In the time of interrogation following his arrest on Thursday, the accused admitted to have raped and killed the minot girl, the police said. A case has been filed against him under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including the SC/ST Act.

Infuriated relatives of the victim gunged up the traffic by holding a "chakka jam" protest, demanding death sentence for the accused.

As maintained by villagers, the accused lured the victim by offering to buy her chocolate. Two other children had ran inside their houses upon seeing him, the villagers said.

In another horrific incident reported from Madhya Pradesh, a 5-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a neighbour on Thursday. She is being treated at a hospital in Rewa district.
