Morbi Bridge Collapse: CM Gehlot terms BJP govt in Gujarat ‘corrupt’, says ‘no right to be in power’
Ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took a potshot at the Bhupendrabhai Patel-led Gujarat Government on November 5 over the Morbi bridge collapse, saying such a corrupt dispensation has no right to be in power.
On Twitter, the Gujarat CM shared a newspaper article regarding the preliminary probe into the tragic incident. According to the article, just Rs 12 lakh (6%) of the total amount of Rs 2 crore was spent on bridge maintenance.
“This is an example of the corruption of the BJP government of Gujarat. Such a corrupt government has no right to be in power,” Gehlot wrote in the caption while sharing the newspaper article.
pic.twitter.com/u6lL04ejyy
