Mob lynching in MP: Over 200 men brutally attack seven people over suspicion of child lifting; one dead
An appalling story from Madhya Pradesh has come to light where a mob of nearly 200 men attacked seven outsiders on suspicion of child lifting in Dhar district on Wednesday.
One of the men succumbed to his injuries while going to the hospital. The shocking incident took place in village Borlai under Manawar tehsil of Dhar district, around 60 km from Indore.
The police prima facie said that a dubious money deal was the reason behind the incident.
A group of seven men was attacked with sticks and stones and suffered from serious injuries.
All of them were rushed to the nearby hospital to Indore. However, one of the victims was declared brought dead at MY Hospital in Indore.
Later, a senior police officer reached the site to investigate. A police officer involved in the investigation alleged that the dispute broke between a few locals and seven-man over money transactions and the locals turned the incident into child-lifting rumours.
After receiving the information about the incident, the Tirla Police reached the spot and used tear gas shells to control the mob.
Meanwhile, police have registered a murder case and an attempt to murder against 40 men who were identified in the videos of the incident, said media reports.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
