Minor girl's body found hanging from fan in boarding school; mobile phones of parents snatched by school
In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old girl was found hanging from a fan inside Noida’s school in the early morning of July 3.
The incident took place in Arsh Kanya Gurukul School located in Sector 115, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
As per media reports, around 45 students, including the victim’s younger sister, were present in the school at the time, along with teachers and staff members.
According to a report in India Today, the family of the minor girl lives in Haryana and her 13-year-old sister studies in the same boarding school.
The family of the minor girl was informed by the school’s staff about the incident. The victim’s family reached the school at 10:30 am on the same day. As per the victim’s mother alleged that their phone was snatched from them when they reached the spot.
Family alleges rape, murder:
After the family reached the school, they were taken to a room where the girl was hanging from a fan. The school authorities also showed the alleged suicide note of the girl.
The family of the victim said that they were threatened by school authorities and forced to cremate their daughter immediately.
However, the school authorities didn’t inform the police about the incident and have accepted that it was a mistake on their part.
Gurukul school principal, Jayendra Kumar told media that they have found a suicide note in which the girl had mentioned that there is no reason behind her death. Neither the Gurukul nor the family members are responsible for her death.
As per principal, the girl wrote that “There is no reason for me to live, I have become a burden on everyone.”
The family of the girl could not believe that their daughter could end her life and alleged that the school tried to mislead them since 3 am on the day of the incident.
The video of the mother asking for justice for her daughter also went viral on social media.
The family alleged that their daughter was murdered after being raped inside the school.
One of the students in Gurukul claimed that the victim had fought with her sister a day before the incident, however, she went to class after that.
Meanwhile, Noida Police are now investigating the case.
Ranvijay Singh, DCP, Noida said, "We have received a suicide note from the school which is being investigated. We are also awaiting family members' statements and a police team has gone to Haryana to investigate the case as well".
Also, the family, based in Mahendragarh district of Haryana, has written a letter to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, demanding legal action against the Noida school.
