Matchmaker gets assaulted by groom, his family after bride goes missing
In a shocking incident, two men were allegedly assaulted by the groom and his family after a bride-to-be went missing from the wedding venue. One of the mediators died in the alleged assault.
Due to the alleged incident, the wedding got cancelled. The two men who had arranged the marriage identified as Hemraj (26) and Jagdish Mehra (35), both residents of Nazirabad.
Hemraj and Mehra had fixed the marriage of Devkarana Mehra (22), a resident of Gawa village with a woman from Sagar. Groom’s family left in shock when the bride-to-be and her father went missing when the baraat arrived at the wedding venue, timesnownews.com reported.
Following the incident, the wedding got cancelled and the baraat returned without a bride.

The prospective groom and his family were angered over the cancellation of the wedding.
The groom’s family brutally assaulted Hemraj and Jagdish in a moving SUV.

According to The Times of India, the matchmakers were also pushed out of the speeding four-wheeler.
Hemraj and Jagdish were found injured on Berasia-Narsinghgarh highway. They were rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced Jagdish brought dead. While Hemraj sustained critical injuries, TOI report said.
Based on a complaint filed by Hemraj on Sunday, police have registered a murder case and also arrested four, including Devkaran and his father Mangilal.
As per reports, the accused told the police that they had paid Rs 1.5 lakh t the victims for the wedding.
Meanwhile, police are searching for the two accused who are still on run.
