Man tears off woman’s t-shirt after she looks at him for spitting

In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old woman was brutally thrashed by a man in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

The woman, a resident of Nikol locality, registered a complaint against the accused.

According to the report, the man allegedly tore off a woman’s t-shirt and assaulted her after she angrily looked at him for spitting near her.

The accused man identified as Ravi Rajput.

As per the complaint filed by the woman, Rajput, who resides in the same locality, spat near her while passing by when she was talking to her sister. She glared at him without saying anything to him.

Thereafter, the accused tore off her T-shirt and thrashed her. The woman also added in her complaint that Rajput had also beaten up her mother and sister when they intervened to save her.

After noticing the incident, local residents gathered, and then, the accused fled from the spot.

According to the details mentioned in the complaint, the accused is known to the woman as they have a common friend, reported The Times of India.

The case has been registered against the man under the relevant sections 354 (A) (1) (sexual harassment), 294 (obscene acts), and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt).

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (I-Division), NL Desai told TOI that efforts are on to arrest the accused.
