Man shoots mother after she calls several times for dinner

A 20-year-old man killed his mother after she interrupted him during chatting with his friends.

The shocking incident took place in Bihar’s rural Patna at around 10:30 on Tuesday.


According to reports, the 55-year-old woman had called the accused son several times for dinner when he was busy chatting with his friends.

The 20-year-old accused got enraged with the mother’s voice and shot her in the head with a country-made pistol and left her critically injured.

The crime scene happened at Sitapur village under the territorial jurisdiction of the Maranchi Police Station.

The accused was identified as Angad Yadav and got arrested on Wednesday. The country made pistol also recovered from his possession.

The injured mother has been identified as Manju Devi, was rushed to the private hospital in Begusarai, and was later shifted to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) on Wednesday, said the Police.

According to Maranchi Police Station SHO, “As Manju Devi was about to step inside the main door after calling her son, Angad came from behind and shot her in the head from a very close range in a fit of rage for disrupting his conversation,” the Times of India report said.

Meanwhile, the woman has been struggling for life after being shot by her son.

Manju’s sister-in-law witnessed the incident:

Reportedly, the whole incident was witnessed by Manju’s sister-in-law. Based on her statement, police registered an FIR against the accused Angad and arrested him from the jungle area behind their house in early hours on Wednesday.

The SHO told TOI, Angad was about to fire on the police at the time of the arrest but his loaded pistol cocked. During interrogation, the accused revealed that he bought the gun six months ago.
