Man kills wife for not being able to conceive after marriage

In a shocking incident, a man in Uttar Pradesh allegedly murdered his wife as she was failed to conceive a child for three years.

According to a report in the timesnownews.com, the man was also not happy as his wife had not brought dowry with her. His family also helped him in killing the woman.

The deceased woman was identified as Priti. She was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The man named Rohit Kumar and the deceased woman got married around 3 years ago.

At the time of the wedding, Priti’s father gave those things in dowry which he could afford. However, Rohit and his family kept on demanding more dowry from Priti’s family. Allegedly, the accused man’s family started torturing the woman for dowry.

Rohit’s family didn’t stop here, they allegedly taunted her for not being able to get pregnant even after three years of their marriage.

According to the deceased woman’s father, his daughter was murdered by her in-laws and husband on Monday.

He told that they went to Priti’s in-laws' home after learning about her death and they saw her body lying on a bed with a rope wrapped around her throat.

While the other end of the rope was hanging from a fan.

According to the Seohara station house officer, the body of the deceased was sent for postmortem.

Meanwhile, the accused husband and his family have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Dowry Act.

Priti’s husband and others were arrested. "Rest will also be arrested soon. A probe is on," the officer told.
