Man kills paramour's sister-in-law as parents fix her marriage with another person
In a shocking incident reported from Ghaziabad, a man allegedly barged into his paramour’s residence and fired gun shots at her family members, killing her sister-in-law, because he was infuriated after they arranged her wedding with a different person, police said.
The accused, identified as Rohit, aged 24, stormed into his lover’s abode in Sherpur village and made an effort to take her along with him.
An argument flared up between the two parties--Rohit and his lover’s family members-- when they stood up to his proposal.
In a flush of anger, Rohit fired gun shots at the girl’s family using a country-made-pistol, police said. Further adding that the bullet went through his lover’s sister-in-law, identified as Pavitra, because of which she went to the ground in an unconscious state and died on the spot due to excess bleeding, police said.
Superintendents of police, Iraj Raja said the wedding of Rohit’s paramour was arranged with some other person which was supposed to be formalised on 18th July.
On hearing the gun shots, the neighbours came together at the crime spot. Finding himself sorrounded by the people, he brandished a gun in the air and ran away, police said.
An FIR has been lodged at Niwari police station and efforts are on to trace and arrest Rohit as soon as possible, the SP said.
