Man axes elderly neighbour to death, walks the street carrying severed head
A 35-year-old man allegedly murdered his 65-year-old neighbour to death using an axe and then walked the street with his choped off head in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, leading to panic and horror in the area.
A few videos showing the accused walking the streets with a severed head in his hand started doing rounds on the internet, prompting the cops to arrest him.
Police identified the person arrested as Madhav Gond, a native of Chhura village. He used to often get into altercations with his elderly neighbour, identified as Karan Singh. Madhav had a suspicion that Karan was an occult practitioner.
According to a report by the Times of India, “He alleged that Singh would unleash cattle into his farm purposely to ruin the crop. He said that Singh would let in the pigs at my farm, and since it is considered untouchable, Gond had to clean up the whole area, which led to altercation between the two, police said,”
Earlier this week, the accused in a fit of rage following a similar incident. He allegedly murdered Karan by launching an attack using an axe. After that, the accused walked the streets with a severed head in his hand, causing terror in the area. After some clips of the horrifying incident went viral on the internet. The cops took Gond into their custody and charged him of murder under IPC Section 302. The body was of the victim was later found.
In another incident, a 40-year-old woman and her 37-year-old lover allegedly killed her 26-year-old lady neighbour in Karnataka’s Bengaluru. The two accused later unsuccessfully tried to show the murder as suicide. According to Police the couple murdered the victim, identified as Ranjita, in order to rob her of a gold chain to pay off their debts.
