Maharashtra: Ward boy molests 28-year-old woman in Covid centre

In a Shocking incident reported from Maharashtra’a Kalyan, a ward boy was taken into custody for allegedly molesting a 28-year-old patient at a Covid care facility.

The incident happened in the early hours of Monday when the victim was sleeping. The woman, who had given birth to a baby but had tested Covid-19 positive, was admitted to the Covid-19 facility in Kalyan’s Lal Chowki area.


The women in her complaint, stated that she felt that someone was inappropriately touching her and when she woke up, she saw the accused trying to run away.

The women then told her husband about the incident on Monday. When her husband alerted the authorities, they tried to look for the ward boy but he had already escaped.

Bazarpeth police station was notified about the matter and the statement of the victim was recorded.

A police team on Monday took the accused into their custody. He will be produced before the court on Tuesday.

According to sources, Mohite has confessed to his crime. The police suspect of Mohite’s involvement in similar incidents. He is further being interrogated.
