According to an officer from Hadapsar police station, Lonkar had also cracked the 2020 preliminary exam.

On June 30, Lonkar hanged himself in his home and left a suicide note behind.

In the note, he termed the MPSC exam as a “mayajaal” and appealed to others not to get into the trap.

His note stated that he was getting depressed as the interview was not being conducted and he was also worried about the age limit criteria. Lonkar also stated that he took the loan in the hope that he would crack the exam. His family had a lot of expectations from him, senior inspector Balkrishna Kadam said quoting the suicide note.

Meanwhile, Lonkar’s father blamed the Maharashtra government for his son’s untimely death.

His mother also told reporters that her son had a dream to save 100 lives by donating platelets and he had also donated 28 times.

Rohit Pawar, NCP MLA from Karjat Jamkhed urged the government to complete the MPSC recruitment process by taking all the precautions as depression is creeping into the young generation.
