The rally began from Barrackpore station and marched through SN Banerjee Road, culminating at the Barrackpore court. The protesters blocked the road for five minutes, chanting "We Want Justice."
During the protest, a parent said, "The brutal murder at RG Kar Hospital is a heinous crime, and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the Police Minister should take responsibility and resign immediately." A schoolgirl demanded that those responsible for the inhumane act should be punished severely.
