J&K: Two terrorists linked with Lashkar killed in Anantnag encounter
Two terrorists that were gunned down in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district had a link with the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), said the officials on Monday.
As per Kashmir Zone Police, the killed terrorists were involved in several terror activities. "Two local categorised #terrorists linked with proscribed #terror outfit LeT killed in #encounter. They were involved in several terror crime cases," Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
Earlier, a terrorist was killed in an encounter that broke out in Tangpawa area of Anantnag on Sunday evening.
"#Anantnag EncounterUpdate: 01 #terrorist killed. #Operation going on. Further details shall follow," Kashmir Zone Police tweeted on Monday morning.
Last week, J&K Police and Indian Army, in a joint operation, neutralized four terrorists in separate encounters conducted in Shopian district. Three terrorists were killed in the Drach area on Tuesday night and a local terrorist was gunned down in Moolu area of Shopian.
