Honey Trap Accused Arrested

Nawa: In a shocking incident, a youth was abducted and blackmailed by a gang of criminals, including a hard-core criminal and a woman, in Navan city. The police have arrested three accused, including the woman, in connection with the case.

According to the police, the youth received a call from an unknown number, and later, he started receiving messages on WhatsApp from a woman who introduced herself as Chanchal. The woman lured the youth into a trap by chatting with him for eight to ten days. When the youth refused to meet her, she started threatening him, saying she would viral his photos and videos if he didn't comply with her demands.

The youth, fearing for his life, reached the location specified by the woman, where he was abducted by the gang. They beat him up, stripped him naked, and made an obscene video. The accused also stole Rs 8,400 from the youth's pocket and a gold chain from his neck.

The police said that the accused demanded Rs 5 lakh from the youth's family, threatening to kill him if they didn't pay the ransom. The youth somehow managed to escape and reached the police station, where he filed a complaint.

20 Hours, Three Arrests

The police took immediate action and arrested the three accused, including the hard-core criminal, Richpal Kantwa, and his accomplices, Rekha Ram Jat and Chanchal Indoria, within 20 hours of the complaint.

Richpal Kantwa, a resident of Kuchaman, has 39 cases registered against him in various police stations, including charges of theft, murder, and attempt to murder. Rekha Ram Jat, a resident of Parasrampura, has 13 cases registered against him, including charges of loot, abduction, and cheating.

Police Warning

The police have warned youth to be cautious while using social media and not to fall prey to such honey traps. They have also advised people not to respond to unknown calls and messages, and to report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.

"The honey trap case is a serious crime, and we will take strict action against the accused," said Jogendra Rathore, Station House Officer, Nawa city.
