Haryana: 4 killed in Kurukshetra as truck collides with trolley

In a tragic incident, four persons died on the spot after a truck truck collided with a tractor trolley in Kurukshetra on September 17 night. Out of the four deceased, two were small girls.

At least eight people were injured and shifted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital. Two seriously injured persons were referred to Chandigarh.


The incident took place when a truck hit the tractor trolley from behind. As many as 25 people were travelling in the tractor trolley and were heading to participate in a religious program in Habana village.

The victims were from the villages of Bhainsi Majra and Solu Majra in Kurukshetra.

DSP Ramdutt Nain said that the people were heading to attend a Satsang of Lord Valmiki.

"They were headed to attend a Satsang of Lord Valmiki in Shahbad in a Mahindra tractor trolley. They had stopped the tractor to ask for the way forward to the village when suddenly a truck rammed them from behind. We have taken possession of the truck and further investigations are underway," he said, as quoted by ANI.
