Gujarat: Woman, youth tied to tree, brutally thrashed over suspicion of infidelity

In an appalling incident brought to light from Gujarat, a man and a woman were allegedly tied to a tree on the suspicion of having an affair. The incident took happened at the Khilodi village of Ghoghamba taluka in Panchmahal district on Saturday. One of the accused was the woman's husband.

According to the woman, she was asked to call a man named Sarjan Satol on Saturday. The woman's husband and some of the locals reckoned that she was in a extra-marital relationship with Satol.

As per a report in The Times of India, the woman and the man both were tied to a tree near her house after the latter arrived. The accused allegedly abused the duo before throwing punches on them. One of the persons at the spot also recorded the incident and the video of the same went viral.

The woman’s ordeal came to an end when the ex-sarpanch of the village came to the spot and rescued them. The parties involved in the incident came to a compromise after the sarpanch’s involvement.

The police, after coming to know about the incident, called the victims. On Tuesday, the woman filed a police complaint against her husband and eight other people. All of the accused were taken into custody.
