Gujarat Horror: 21-year-old girl raped by 5 men, including Traffic Road Brigade guard
A heinous incident took place in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad where a 21-year-old mentally challenged girl was allegedly raped by five persons, including a Traffic Road Brigade (TRB) jawan.
The horrifying act took place on the night of August 15 when the girl was on her way to meet her mother.
According to the reports, the mentally challenged girl boarded an autorickshaw to reach her mother’s place. One of the accused men abducted the girl and then took her to an isolated place.
Before dropping the girl to her house, the man raped her at an isolated spot, and following the same, the other four men also raped her. After the assault, the mentally challenged girl was dropped over to her house.
Police have detained three persons on August 17, while the other two accused were at large. As per the reports, one of the accused, a TRB guard has been working in the police department of Ahmedabad for the last three years, timesnownews.com reported.
The man has been suspended after he was arrested, The Indian Express reported.
According to a police officer, the two remaining accused have been detained in the case on Friday and after their COVID-19 test came negative, they were produced before the magistrate on Saturday and remanded in two-day police custody.
While the three others are now in judicial custody.
Meanwhile, the accused were booked under section 376D (gangrape), 363 for kidnapping, and 366 (kidnapping a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
