Gujarat: 6 women in ‘pant-shirt’ try to flirt with men on road for this shocking reason
In a shocking incident reported from Gujarat’s Amreli district where six women wearing shirt pants tried to flirt with men on the road.
However, police have detained them on Wednesday for allegedly indulging in shameless behavior on a road near Hindorna intersection from Rajula town.
As per a report published in Times Now, the women were flirting with men in order to extort money from them.
Women making bad gestures:
The police were alerted about these women in shirt-pants that they were indulged in indecent activities near Radhika Hotel in Rajula town. Soon after, a team of police reached the spot. Upon arriving at the spot, police found the women were speaking in vulgar language and also making bad gestures.
The women also told their names to the police and revealed that they belonged to Ahmedabad. When police asked their reason to come to Rajula town, they were failed to give a satisfactory response. Subsequently, they were taken into police custody.
According to Nirplit Rai, Superintendent of Police, Amreli, said that these women had recently arrived in Amreli. They used to operate in Sabarkantha and nearby areas to extort money.
As per police, these women were trying to extort money near the hotel and were nabbed before they could commit the crime.
Their modus operandi is to stand on the roadside and in the guise of immoral trafficking. The women sit in the car of a person and one of the women started blackmailing the person for money, The Indian Express reports said.
Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered against the women at Rajula police station under section 110 (indecent exposure, behaviour or language in public) and 117 (contravening the prohibition on indecent behaviour in public) of the Gujarat Police Act.
The accused women will be formally arrested after undergoing mandatory COVID-19 test, according to the police.
Police message to public:
After this incident, police said in a press release that the women were flirting with people in order to make money. Police also advised people not to fall in such a trap and informed police if they faced any similar incident.
