Greater Noida: Man gets teased for having coronavirus, opens fire at friend
As the cases of Covid-19 are mounting rapidly in India, panic among people is also rising at the same rate. People having started to feel irrationally anxious about the common flu and health problems like coughing. While on one side, it cannot be turned down the the fear of the people is justified, it must be noted that their persecution complex is giving rise to issues and turning into a threat for people around them.
An incident displaying the fear of the people came to light from Greater Noida on Tuesday night. The incident happened at around 9 pm inside a temple. The accused indentified as Suresh and the victim Prateek.
At around 9 pm on Tuesday night, four people were playing ludo inside a temple in Greater Noida’s Jarcha area. During the game, Suresh coughed, following which, his friend Prateek taunted him by saying the he might have coronavirus.
Annoyed by the taunt given by his friend, Suresh took out a gun and shot his friend. The bullet hit the victim’s leg and he fell on the ground. In the meantime, the people living close by heard the gunshot and came rushing to the temple.
The victim was taken to the Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida. Amar Ujala reported. The accused managed to flee from the spot after he fired the shot at his friend. Meanwhile, the police were informed about the incident and they reached the crime spot.
