Forced into flesh trade by sister, minor killed for raising objection
In a shocking incident of crime, the dead body of a teen girl, aged 17, who had gone missing seven months back, was found near Jharkhand's Sonar dam. The dead body was exhumed in the presence of the magistrate.
The minor victim was allegedly killed by her sisters Rakhi Devi, aged 30 and Roopa Devi, aged 25, brother-in-law Dhananjay Aggarwal, aged 30 and lovers Pratap Kumar Singh and Nitish.
All the accused have been taken into police custody excluding Nitish, who is still at large. The dead body was sent to Rachi’s Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), for a post-mortem.
As stated in the post-mortem report, the deceased victim sustained a head injury. However, her sisters alleged that the minor died by taking her own life.
SDPO Vijay Shankar said the victim was the second youngest of the five sisters and both their parents had passed away. She stayed with her elder sister Rakhi, who was involved in flesh trade.
"Rakhi and Dhananjay forced the deceased into prostitution. They used to send her to customers against her will. She was having an affair with a boy and wanted to marry him, but Rakhi was against it. Meanwhile, Pratap and Nitesh, two of Rakhi's lovers, were interested in the girl," said Vijay Shankar.
"Both of them desired a physical relationship with her and used to visit Rakhi's house and indulge in debauchery. Rakhi aided both of her lovers in this endeavour," he added.
Pratap came to Rakhi's house two days prior to the killing. As decided earlier, Pratap raped the minor victim while Rakhi was not present. They murdered the 17-year-old and hanged her body.
Following the crime, Rakhi called Roopa and Dhananjay. Dhananjay came with an auto-rickshaw and the five of them then took the dead body to an isolated area for burial. The victim’s clothes were changed at Roopa's house before being taken for burial.
