Farmhouse owner unleashes dangerous dogs on Delhi boy, thrashes him to death

In a appalling incident, a 16-year-old boy who was beaten up by a farmhouse proprietor over suspicious of burglary and left hurt on the street was killed following an attack by a pack of dogs in the national capital’s Kapashera area, the police said on Thursday.

The teenager, who was gravely hurt following a thrashing by the farmhouse owner with a stick, was left lying on the street for several hours with no help. It was during this time a pack of dogs attacked the teen, police said.

The victim, identidied as Sandeep Mahto, the son of a driver, had gone to the farmhouse along with his two friends at around 11 am on Wednesday, police officer Pratap Singh said. A security guard at the farm house saw the teenagers and raised an alarm over suspicious that the boys could be thieves.

Soon after, the farmhouse proprietor, identified as Prakrati Sandhu, caught Mahto while his two friends were able to flee. Sandhu beat-up the teenager with a stick, injuring him on his head, police said. As the teen gave out, he fell unconscious on the street, following which a pack of dogs attacked him. The teen passed away several hours later, with no help coming his way, police said.

A passer-by noticed the teen’s body by the road and alerted the cops at around 4:30 pm. According to police, a case of murder has been pressed against the farmhouse owner and a search operation to trace the accused is underway.

The farmhouse owner is a resident of Gurugram and runs a transport agency, the police said.

The cops said that the victim has no criminal records to his name, but are trying to find out why he and his friends had gone to the farmhouse.
