Event anchor accuses boss, client of raping her
A woman event presenter was allegedly raped by the proprietor of an event management firm and his client at a hotel in Patna. Reportedly, the victim, who was allegedly raped on 2nd July, has asked that the case be transferred to Kolkata. The 24-year-old woman has alleged that the accused have been threatening her with death.
According to the survivor, the accused have been absconding for the past one month. She said, "Instead, I am getting threat calls and the accused persons have threatened to kill me whenever they see me. I filed a complaint in Patna as well as a rape case in Kolkata. Recently, around two days back, I also filed a threat case against the accused but I am continuously getting threat calls. "
As per the case FIR, the woman traveled to Patna through Muzaffarpur on 1st July. The following night, the proprietor of the event management firm said that he had arranged her visit to come to his room to discuss payment-related matters.
Furthermore, the FIR indicated that the accused and one of his clients took turns to rape the woman. Reportedly, the woman registered a case in Patna and on 4th July, she went back to Kolkata and lodged a case, The Indian Express reported.
Murlidhar Sharma, Joint Commissioner of Police said, "A zero FIR was done as the incident happened in Patna. The same has been sent to Patna police for further action. "
The event manager's spouse has turned down all allegations and has said that her husband was being falsely incriminated by the 24-year-old woman because of a payment issue.
