Drug addict hacks parents to death for sending him to rehabilitation centre
In a blood-curdling incident of crime coming in from Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh, a 16-year-old boy allegedly killed his father, aged 42 and mother, aged 38 in their sleep at a village which falls under the jurisdiction of Nohar police station on Wednesday. The teenager was taken into police custody on Thursday.
According to the preliminary probe, the teen was addicted to sedatives, pills and other similar substances. His parents had sent him to a de-addiction centre, but he came back from there a few days back. The 16-year-old was vexed over being sent to the rehabilitation centre.
He later came to know that he would again be sent there. In this context, the teen hacked his parents to death using an axe while they were asleep, reported The Times of India.
“When he got back from the de-addiction centre, he was taken to the house of his maternal grandparents. On Wednesday, he was brought back to his house and he started a fight with his parents for sending him to the rehabilitation centre. Furthermore, it was found that he came to know that he would be sent again to the rehabilitation centre. Later, at night, he attacked his parents with an axe while they were fast asleep,” the report quoted Nohar SHO as saying.
The teenager beat-up his younger brother when the latter came in between to rescue their parents. Later, the teen went out of his home and told villagers that he had killed his parents.
The police, after being notified about the incident, arrived at the crime spot and saw the couple’s dead bodies lying in a pool of blood.
The teen accused was taken into police custody and the blood-stained axe used in the crime has also been recovered.
In a separate incident reoprted from Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh, a 35-year-old man, who was initially said to have plunged to his death from his house was allegedly murdered by his 30-year-old wife who later disposed his dead body off the terrace. After the crime became known, the victim’s wife was nabbed and sent to 14-day judicial custody.
The deceased, identified as Kundan Singh Dhami, a native of Chhinpatta village in the Didihat locality. His wife, identified as Neema Devi, in the time of interrogation, confessed that she killed him after a fight took place between the couple.
