Delhi woman killed by paramour for insisting on marriage
A horrifying incident reported from Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area, Delhi Police on Friday took a 38-year-old man into their custody accused of killing a woman he loved. The accused, identified as Sanjay, a native of Masoodpur village was inebriated when he killed the woman.
As maintained by the police, the accused murdered the woman after she forced him to marry her. The woman died of head injuries after being hit with a brick.
Earlier, an unidentified dead body was found near Vasant Kunj South police limits. A case was filed and all police stations in the area were alerted about the crime. All missing complaints registered in every police station in the national capital were shortlisted, matching with the features and possible age group of the deceased and every single house of those missing females was visited by the cops in order to have first hand information and establish the identity of the female.
Police also recovered a carry bag of a shop in Mehrauli near the dead body. Ladies tailors of Mehrauli, Fatehpur Beri, Vasant Kunj and Kapas Hera areas were contacted to identify the dead.
Once the victim was identified with the help of her family members, it was found that the accused was seen with the woman on the day of the murder. He was finally arrested on 16th June.
In the time of interrogation, the accused revealed that he was in a relationship with the deceased woman and when she started forcing him to marry, the accused planned to kill her.
According to a senior police official,"On the day of the incident, the accused, with a premeditated mind, first consumed liquor and took the deceased to a place on his bicycle. He had consensual intercourse with the woman, and then hit her head with a brick".
