‘If my son is dead, I want to see his body,' says parents of 10-year-old boy who was mowed down by driver in Delhi
In a shocking incident, a pick-up van driver mowed down a 10-year-old boy when he playing outside his house in Delhi’s Mayur Vihar area earlier this week.
After killing the boy, the accused driver picked up the body and dumped in a drain in Noida and then fled from the spot. The family was not aware of their child that what happened to him and has been to see the body of the boy or get any news on him.
According to a report in The Times of India, on Sunday evening, the father. Jumman, of the minor, went to the police station in Mayur Vihar and complaint about his missing son Gaffar.
Jumman also told police that Gaffar was playing outside the house from where he went untraceable even after they searched him everywhere.
As police started the search operation of the minor boy, a local boy told them that he had seen a driver put the injured and bloodied body of Gaffar in his van.
Police checked the CCTV footage from the area and identified the vehicle driven by a labourer from Bihar. The accused man has been identified as Madan Lal.
The police have nabbed the labourer and the vehicle was also seized. However, the body of Gaffar was yet to be found. Madan Lal told police that he had thrown the body of Gaffar into a drain in Noida sector 14. He also admitted that he got panicked after the incident and hence, he decided to throw the body in a bid to avoid getting caught.
The parents of the Gaffar have been crying to see their son’s body. “If my son is dead, I want to see his body,” the minor boy’s parents said.
The mother said that the driver not only killed her son but also prevented them from taking him to a hospital and try to save him.
Even after four days, the body of the boy is missing. His parents denied a funeral for their young son.
Meanwhile, police and divers are searching the body of the boy in Noida across sectors.
