Delhi shocker: Drug addict son back from rehab stabs entire family to death
In a horrifying incident reported from the national capital, A 25-year-old man, a drug addict who recently returned from a rehabilitation centre has been taken into police custody for allegedly killing all his family members in southwest Delhi's Palam area.
The accused, identified as Keshav, aged 25 allegedly stabbed his parents, sister, and grandmother to death over a dispute, police said.
All four members of the family were found lying in a pool of blood in their home in the national capital. The deceased have been identified as Dinesh Kumar, aged 42, his wife Darshan Saini, aged 40, mother Deewano Devi, aged 75 and daughter Urvashi, aged 22.
As maintained by the cops, the man was unemployed and his family members said that he was a drug addict and had recently come back from a rehab centre. While two bodies were found lying in a pool of blood in the bathroom, the two other family members were found dead in their bedrooms.
On 22nd November, at around 10:30 pm, Palam Police Station received a call and when cops reached the crime spot, four members of a family were found dead in a house. The accused who was trying to escape was caught by the caller and his relatives, police said.
"Four members of a family, including Keshav's motherm sister, their father, and his grandmother were stabbed to death in a house in the Palam area. The accused has been apprehended, " Delhi Police told news agency ANI.
A case under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code has been filed and further investigation into the matter is underway. The preliminary investigation revealed that the motive of the crime appeared to be a quarrel among family members as the accused did not have a stable job, police said.
