Delhi: Neighbours fight over kids, man dies

A man has been beaten to death by his neighbour allegedly following a fight over children. The incident occurred in national capital’s Kalyanpuri area on Saturday. The 34-year-old man has been identified as Vinod.

The victim was murdered outside his house. The man reportedly lost his life after suffering multiple injuries on his chest.

The victim used to work at a shop in Noida. The matter surfaced after the police were alerted about a fight between the neighbours, according to a report in Indian Express.

"As the police reached the spot, one of the men was being taken to the hospital. A preliminary probe into the incident revealed that the two men-Vinod and Sanjay-indulged into a fight over their children's behaviour," the report quoted Priyanka Kashyap, DCP.

Not long ago, the children of the two men had fought while playing outside their house. Later, the argument exacerbated further and the two men came to blows with one other

According to the police, Sanjay verbally abused Vinod and hit him on the chest. Following the fight, Vinod collapsed on the ground and was quickly taken to a hospital by other neighbours.

The post-mortem report of Vinod revealed that he died of injuries sustained during the fight. Police have now registered a case against Sanjay and arrested him.
